Electric Radiant Heating Panels

Postby AJ Lester » Tue Jan 13, 2015 4:36 am

Hi all,

A quick question (hopefully).

How would I go about modelling direct electric radiant panel heaters that are ceiling mounted within DesignBuilder?

These are a relatively common solution to low heating demands here in New Zealand, particularly in older buildings.

Thanks in advance and best regards,
Andrew

Electric Radiant Heating Panels

Hi all,

I am new to DB and having an issue similar to Andrew's: i want to model direct electric radiant panels for under floor heating (Deviâ„¢ electric foil heaters), in a New Zealand building.
I hope someone might be able to give me a hand!

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Capucine

Is there an answer to this question yet?
I'm modeling a warehouse and we're using Gas radiant heaters in our warehouses usually. What's the best way to model this and obtaining realistic energy consumption results?

I think that the EnergyPlus high temperature radiant zone heater (ZoneHVAC:HighTemperatureRadiant) could do the job. You can read up some technical details on this system at: http://bigladdersoftware.com/epx/docs/8 ... ureradiant.
